Satan Doesn't Stand a Chance!

And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold, Satan hath desired to have you, that he may sift you as wheat: But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethern. -Luke 22:31-32

I read Luke 22:31&32 and thought MAN,  how awesome is it that Jesus prayed for Simon.  Satan didn't stand a chance.  And then I had this thought ... That is exactly what Jesus is doing for me.  He is sitting at the right had of the Father making intercession for me.
As believers we have The Maker of heaven and earth on our side.  We may feel overwhelmed with life at times.  We may have days when it seems like the world is against us.  We may be in the middle of the trial of our life or maybe something as simple as being out of our comfort zone.  Stand firm in your faith.  Fight the good fight of faith.  God is on our side and satan doesn't stand a chance!

Romans 8:33-39
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.

Jesus Can Do All That You Can't

I woke up with this song on my mind this morning.  I opened my devotional the verse it gave was a summary of Romans 4:18-19. 'Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed... Without weakening in his faith.' I then opened my Bible and read word for word what it said and a little extra.  It spoke to me and I hope it speaks to you also.

Romans 4:18-25

Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.
Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him; But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.

I LOVE the verse that says, 'He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.' I'm holding onto that one!  It just may be my new favorite.  :)

I just want to thank JESUS!

I just wanted to take the time to post how thankful I am to see God moving in the lives of my friends and family.  It is overwhelming (a very good overwhelming) at times seeing the changes that have taken place. The determination and boldness to keep on with Jesus.  I am amazed watching the hand of God at work.  God is SOOOO good!  I don't know why everyone doesn't want to serve Him. The Lord has done me nothing but good and I can't wait to see what happens next!  THANK YOU JESUS!

Exodus 14:13
And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day:

Job 37:14
Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

2 Chronicles 20:17
Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

Psalm 4

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.  O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah.
But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.
