I just want to thank JESUS!

I just wanted to take the time to post how thankful I am to see God moving in the lives of my friends and family.  It is overwhelming (a very good overwhelming) at times seeing the changes that have taken place. The determination and boldness to keep on with Jesus.  I am amazed watching the hand of God at work.  God is SOOOO good!  I don't know why everyone doesn't want to serve Him. The Lord has done me nothing but good and I can't wait to see what happens next!  THANK YOU JESUS!

Exodus 14:13

And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day:

 

 

Job 37:14

Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.

2 Chronicles 20:17

Ye shall not need to fight in this battle: set yourselves, stand ye still, and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD will be with you.

 

 

Psalm 4

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.  O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame? how long will ye love vanity, and seek after leasing? Selah. 

But know that the LORD hath set apart him that is godly for himself: the LORD will hear when I call unto him. Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.

There be many that say, Who will shew us any good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.  Thou hast put gladness in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

~A Simple Thank You~

So, things just don't seem to be going according to plan. You know, my plan. I know God's plan is still in tack, I just don't know how that plan plays out. I know that he is working all things for my good, but it would be nice to just have a little peep hole to see just how things are going to work out. No, I am not having some life threatening or serious issues. It is just those pride breaking issues that get to me so badly at times. So, while I am in the midst of my pity party the other day. God speaks to me through my oldest son. I had fixed his breakfast and he was eating while watching his morning cartoons. I was washing dishes and thinking about how it would be nice to make land or a house appear that is just what we are looking for and in our budget and how my husband's truck had broken down and had to be fixed among other things. You know that whirlwind that gets going in that thing some of us call a brain. Out of the blue Thomas says 'Dank you Mommy.' Yes, that is it, just a simple thank you. No one told him to say thank you, it just came out on its own. It melted my heart. Then it was like my mind immediately went right to- You know God probably loves hearing those two words from his children. I bet it melts his heart too.
So instead of grumbling and complaining about how these little things don't seem to be going right, I having been trying to keep a thankful spirit. God has always provided. I have always had a roof over my head, a bed to sleep in, more than enough food to eat, clothes to wear and the list goes on and on. I have so much to be thankful for and if I am thanking God for all of those things, then my mind doesn't have time to zone in on those things that don't really matter because God always provides.
